Windhorst on All Bets Are Off...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I agree. Lakers are the deepest team in the league IMO. It never seemed like they had a bad player out there tonight.

I mean really. They lose NOTHING when going to their bench (besides if Kobe is sitting obviously).

Famar is one of the best backup PG's out there. Ariza is a great defender. Odom would start on most teams. Walton is just a solid all around player. Vujabitch is a lights out shooter and an annoying pesky defender.

As long as Wally is getting big time minutes on our team, I won't believe we can win it all. We need another player.

We can't go into the playoffs with our main 3 bench players being AV, Wally, and Boobie. That REALLY gives up one consistent bench player and then we have to pray Boobie and Wally are on from 3 because they're useless everywhere else.

Spot on, couldn't agree more.

Forget the luxory tax money saved by keeping wally and Snow's contracts. If this team does not win the championship(s), Gilbert will be well under the salary cap in 2010 when James walks.
The Lakers exposed the CAVs last night and while agree that if we had Z and West it might have been a different outcome, we are not the class of the NBA. Add a Camby or Wallace or Miller (?) and this team moves to the head of the class. You never know about injuries, which is why Ferry has to add depth to this team.

I don't think Ferry will stand pat..he isn't going to say anything..till after a trade goes down..I know people want big names...but a under the radar player I wouldn't mind for Szerb's contract is Anthony Parker from Toronto..nice wing player..

all i know is, in nba 2k9 association mode ive been making trades(legit ones, no cheating crap, i obey the salary cap too) and he is my starting shooting guard and josh howard balls out, i fade away from mid all day long and he doesnt miss. it took me about 50 or so trades to keep trading to get players a little better than the one i hade before. example if i have a player rated 84 ill trade to get an 85 then 86 then 87 and so on and so on. heres my lineup:

pg: baron davis - keys: defense, scoring, passing

sg: josh howard - keys: defense, scoring, rebounds, tremendous size at the 2 position

sf: lebron james - keys: do you have to ask the man does it all

pf: josh smith - keys: defense in the post, athleticism, finishing at the rim

c: dwight howard - keys: again nothing needs to be said you already know

lol sorry i had to do that, you brought up josh howard. anyway, hes a baller and id love any player for the cavs that averages 18 and 5 on solid 44 to 45 percent shooting. and his size will disrupt any two guard trust me.

Toronto would have to make up a lot of salary in that trade considering Parker only makes like 4m. But Parker would be a nice piece to have off the bench, he can shoot the 3 and defend.

I would try to get in on a 3 team deal with Dallas and Charlotte. Dallas still wants Felton, and Charlotte is not giving him up unless they can move Nazr Mohammed with him. I wouldn't mind taking in Mohammed if we can get Howard with him. Mohammed is a servicable big, definitely better than Wright and has more size and length.

Maybe something like this....

Mavs:
Raymond Felton
Sean May

Cavs:
Josh Howard
Naz Mohammed

Bobcats:
Wally Szczerbiak
Lorenzen Wright
1st round pick via Cavs

Howards 3rd year is also a team option

ITS CLEAR WE NEED A SG/SF if it takes trading gibson we have to do it I'd like howard, t-mac, carter, gwal, ... our bigs are fine Andy, z, ben, jj we have alot of depth missing z hurts but unless we can get a amare or bosh or camby we can get a better sG then big so we have to go sg pavs has no right starting or even being a backup

Well Gibson sucks so I wouldn't mind.

In July 2008, he was cited for going 94mph in a 55mph zone. Charged with speeding, careless and reckless driving, and speed competition

Yeah, but that only because he got caught.

I Like this Trade

I wont say gibson sucks but if we did get a SG then his PT would go down anyways... west would play backup pg more and get pt at sg and the new sg woulg get pt there and backup sf. howard i think is the best fit he has good range and great D but g-wal might be easyer to get

Bosh isn't going anywhere. Amare is 99% likely to stay through the season. The Clippers said they aren't trading Camby.

trading boobie for a sg/sf doesn't improve the team. the cavs need a backup pg. that's almost always a key piece to a championship team. if he wasn't coming off the bench, who would play backup pg? sasha? come on now.

a little man named west..... if we got howard west would be our backup SG also with pavs and tk

we're talking about a backup pg, not sg. losing boobie gives the bench a big hit. plus, he plays very well with lebron and is good friends with him. i don't see him being moved.

west is our backup pg now... west would lose PT since howard would start SG and so thos mins can be made up by giving west gibsons mins...

Howard starts SG west backs hiim up but
Mo starts PG west backs him up

end of the day howard is getting gibson and wallys PT.... something I'm all for and having less PT at sg for west something i'm all for
