Re: Woj: Rockets trying to move Thomas Robinson

This trade would not surprise me at all. Robinson graded well in last years draft based on the formula I think Chris Grant uses. I think they went against the formula and selected Waiters because they had Tristan Thompson already and using 2 #4 picks on the same position in back to back drafts is a bad idea. However; a year later if you can get T-Rob for the 19th pick in a weak draft, that's a great deal.

Re: Woj: Rockets trying to move Thomas Robinson

I would love to add Robinson. If the Cavs can find a way to add Robinson, 1, 13, and Marion, it will be an awesome night.

If the Rockets objective is to clear cap space; might not want a first in return?

Possible, but it is more likely they could just take a Euro and let him develop overseas.

I would think they would rather have the 2nd round picks and get players they can use now but who don't count against the cap until they are signed.

Re: Woj: Rockets trying to move Thomas Robinson

I like Robinson, IMO his game reminds me of David West... I don't think he will be as good as West, but that's just who his game reminds me of.

Re: Woj: Rockets trying to move Thomas Robinson

I'll take Robinson, backup to Thompson. Flexibility to move Varejao. Kid still has loads of potential

I would rather keep our 2nd round picks, if that is what we would have to trade, but I would be okay with trading for him.

Re: Woj: Rockets trying to move Thomas Robinson

If it comes down to offers from the Spurs and Cavs, you would think the Rockets would prefer the non-guaranteed money of pick 31 or 33 over the 3 years guaranteed money of pick 29 + the chance that Robinson flourishes in their own division with the Spurs.

Don't buy it. But I'd really really like it if true.

Re: Woj: Rockets trying to move Thomas Robinson

Hmm.. Robinson on his rookie deal or overpayed Speights... I like it.

Re: Woj: Rockets trying to move Thomas Robinson

Not to be a downer, we all like trades, but legionsports is a joke. The guy has pushed so many flase rumors before.

$3.5 million and a pick for a top 5 pick traded twice within a year? Where is the fit?

Re: Woj: Rockets trying to move Thomas Robinson

Re: Woj: Rockets trying to move Thomas Robinson

Would Robinson seal the fate on a guard being picked first?
