I was the one pumping Cedi early on by my lonesome last year. I thought that he could be effective and be much better than a lot of other players in the rotation(Playoffs and Finals included...somewhat saddens me that he didn't get the chance to experience the playoffs, especially alongside Lebron), but I couldn't really put a ceiling on him and know how he was going to develop. Now, it's pretty clear that he has what it takes to be really great. What he did last night is not only sustainable, but looked easy for him. He barely touched the ball and only put up 10 shot attempts, but it was effortless- on both ends.
It's a joy watching him play. It really is.
As far as Collin. You know and probably everyone else knows I'm a SGA guy. Loved his two way potential and his floor to me was the highest that we could get at 8. I won't compare the two because it doesn't matter. I only want Sexton to be good..doesn't have to be better than Shai, but I really need him to become good. I will give him all the time in the world. I really don't know whether he is going to become a good or bad, but his mentality and the passion and aggressiveness that he plays with gives him a lot of different routes to become successful. It may take a year, two years, heck even 5 years; but compared to other players who can labeled as busts after a short while, for Sexton, there might come a time, out of the blue that he finally breaks out, why? because he is a gamer and a hard worker, and above all, he doesn't settle.
Look, I didn't even consider him for the Cavs approaching draft night. I see glaring limitations(almost all are size related), but who says he can't overcome some of them? I dunno. I will tell you this, even when he sucks I enjoy watching him play lol. It's about entertainment after all and I enjoy watching this guy compete.
I wish him all the luck in the world and I hope that this fanbase (including myself) will be patient with him.
