I'd give them any two or three players on our roster.
I think he's super soft... and don't know how he'll perform under pressure. Maybe this will be diminised playing next to LeBron, but doesn't leave him protected.
Our current front court depth is as follows:
Anderson Varejao
Antawn Jamison
JJ Hickson
Leon Powe
I'm still weary about a trade for Chris Bosh. I think he's super soft... and don't know how he'll perform under pressure. Maybe this will be diminised playing next to LeBron, but doesn't leave him protected.
However, for a player of his calibur, you can't hold back on what you trade. Especially when it could mean getting additional quality starters. You also have to think about the other trades that occur to follow up and shape our team.
For instance:
JJ Hickson, Anderson Varejao, Anthony Parker, Sebastian Telfair
for
Chris Bosh, Jarret Jack
Then, turn around and trade
Mo Williams
for
#5 pick, Francisco Garcia, and Spencer Hawes
Things aren't looking as bad as they did. Huge roster makeover, but a slight change in philosophy.
Jarret Jack / Gibson
Welsey Johnson? / Garcia / Danny Green
LeBron James (assuming...) / Moon
Jamison / Powe
Chris Bosh / Hawes
Possible we could get Shaq back and Z for another run... perhaps we could make another move to improve our SG spot... perhaps we could draft a different beast at #5... many possibilities to shake things up.
I'm starting to like the trade a lot more if we get Jarret Jack and trade Mo Williams for some value.
First, Mo is not worth close to that much. Yes, Garcia has a bad contract, but #5 is still high enough to get a player who can have a serious impact and Hawes is a solid young center .Maybe if we could somehow work Noc into the deal, but that deal as is....Sac says no pretty easily. Then, turn around and trade

And that front court would not work. The main reason why a Bargs/Bosh front court didn't work was because both players are jumpshooters. You need some sort of inside presence, both offensively and defensively. Bosh is not that.
Hollinger seems to think that Bosh is going to L.A. (Lakers) Man...that would be so fucked up. No point in even watching the NBA anymore after that.
It wouldn't really be fucked up at all assuming it's Bynum and not Gasol going to Toronto. Bosh for Bynum straight up is pretty much their best option.
If it's for Gasol though...then lol.
